A £7 million investment is due for completion in Autumn 2005, which will transform The Warwickshire from a golf only site into the country’s finest and newest Country Club incorporating new health and fitness facilities. A Club for all the Family!
Situated in the middle of 465 flowing acres in the centre of picturesque Warwickshire countryside, one is able to stand and marvel at the majesty of it. What will astonish the first time visitors is the remarkable variety of golf. There are four loops of nine holes and each loop has its own individuality. American Karl Litten designed a distinctive and different character for each of the four nine hole loops – inland links, woodland, Americana, and parkland – it’s all at The Warwickshire in one immensely attractive sweep of golfing country. The Warwickshire has played host to many professional tournaments including a European Seniors Tour event and the Midland PGA Final on 3 occasions.
The Courses North Course – Creatively sculptured through mature woodland, this challenging 3,780 yard course demands accuracy. Even the most talented golfer will be excited by the challenge of the 637 yard fourth hole or the cascading drop of the 165 yard Par 3 eighth hole.
South Course – Built in the style of an inland links, the South Course poses is equally challenging. The double dogleg 577 yard seventh hole requires a delicate shot across a lake as does the beautifully contoured Par 3 eighth hole.
East Course – Designed in the American style with wide open fairways and spectacular water hazards, the East loop provides a different challenge. The 196 yard Par 3 eighth hole demands pinpoint accuracy across a picturesque lake while strength of arm is required on the two Par 5 sixth and seventh holes, both in excess of 570 yards.
West Course – Water is the major feature of the 3,627 yard West Course. The par 4 third hole is a recently reconstructed hole that incorporates a flowing brook to protect the approach to the green. This picturesque parkland style course is an enjoyable test of golf for both the low and high handicapper.
Castle Course – Perfect for beginners or the time-restricted golfer, the par 3 Castle Course fulfils a variety of needs. Regular 9-hole tournaments are held to give new golfers competition experience. The Castle Course Membership is the ideal stepping stone to full membership or a round on the course, an ideal warm-up before your round or golf day.
Golf Tuition The tuition facilities at The Warwickshire are second to none. A comprehensive framework of tuition from the PGA professionals is designed to accommodate all levels of golfer. Progress Golf, group and individual clinics are an ideal platform to introduce newcomers to the game of golf.
