Set in 104 acres of the Chiltern Hills in South Buckinghamshire and designated an
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this undulating parkland 18 – hole par 70 course offers an outstanding challenge to golfers of all abilities.
The Course was opened in 1982 and was
purchased by its members in 2000. Since then investment in new course maintenance machinery means the course is beautifully presented with firm fast greens. A feature of the course is the number of holes protected by mature trees or water, which make the correct shot selection essential.
Hazlemere GC prides itself on its open and friendly welcome to all players and is a signatory to the EGU/ELGA commitment to equality. The Club is proud to be a Junior Golf Foundation Starter Centre as well as the home venue for the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College Golf Team – one of the leading university golf teams.
Luke Donald the Ryder Cup star started his golf at Hazlemere and won the club’s Junior Championship twice. The Club also has strong Ladies and Seniors sections with teams playing in various County and National events.
The Clubs efficient and helpful staff ensure all members and visitors have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. As well as bar and catering facilities for members the clubhouse has two function rooms with commanding views over the course. This makes it the ideal venue for a variety of private functions such as
Wedding Receptions, Anniversary and
Birthday celebrations,
Conferences and
Business Meetings. Societies are also very welcome and various packages can be put together for that special day. The Club has a strong social diary with events such as Quiz Nights, Race Evenings, Dinner Dances and many other sociable occasions.
Hazlemere Golf lessons are provided by
Hazlemere Golf Academy and their team of qualified
PGA professionals are expert at tailoring their approach to the individual. Whether a beginner or scratch player, their message is ‘Keep it simple’. There is also a fully stocked Pro Shop with an extensive range of equipment including leading brands of clubs, clothing and accessories. The shop can also custom fit your own set of Woods and irons.
